New logo + baseline for Skateboarders HQ.
Skateboarders HQ is the number one blog for skaters that are looking for neutral, independent information on the latest skateboard gear. Basically anything that has to do with skateboarding, from wheels to decks, over protection to shoes. You name it, they rate it, with a high focus on beginners to intermediate skaters who are looking for honest and reliable information in what to invest their money in. For this, the baseline SKATED AND RATED covers their story in a short and clear statement. The fact that the ratings and reviews actually come from unsponserd skaters, to skaters, is a mayor asset they have compared to other blogs out there. If it’s good they’ll tell you, if it sucks they’ll tell you, big brand or small brand, honest, real and thoroughly tested.
For the execution of the logo idea I chose a drawing style that best fits the soul and personal approach of the blog and the skateboarding world. The “from skaters to skaters“ is enhanced by this way. True skateboarding was never about clean corporate styles. It’s about creativity, exploring, trial and error and DIY.
